MPM Studio Solverby RiverStudio

Multi-material simulation.
On your GPU.

For Cinema 4D & Blender

Simulate liquids, sand, snow and deformable solids in Cinema 4D and Blender. One particle-based engine, accelerated with CUDA, brings flow, granular motion and large deformation into your 3D workflow.

Liquids, grains and deformable solids.

The Material Point Method tracks material properties on moving particles and calculates their motion through a background grid. It handles flow, compression and large deformation without relying on a fixed simulation mesh.

Liquids & viscous flow

Control viscosity, surface tension and collider wetting. Define liquid phases and interfacial tension, with adaptive particle sampling for evolving flows.

Sand & snow

Build granular motion with internal friction and cohesion. Use snow compaction and hardening to control how a material compresses and holds its shape.

Deformable solids

Set elastic stiffness, plastic yield and hardening for soft solids and metal. Explore experimental fracture with local control over material resistance.

Start from a preset, adjust the physical properties and save your own material profiles for the next scene.

GPU-accelerated simulation.

Native GPU computation, a sparse simulation grid and dedicated solid calculation modes put the hardware to work. Choose the calculation path for your material and the detail your shot needs.

Native CUDA computation

The solver runs on NVIDIA GPUs, with a sparse grid for free-domain simulation. Automatic time stepping responds to motion, resolution and material stiffness.

Accelerated solid modes

Use Fast for eligible metal and elastic-solid scenes. Use Classic for general multi-material simulation. Extreme offers a separate, experimental rigid-fragment approach.

Control the working set

Set GPU memory reserves and allocation limits. Experimental Extended RAM can move eligible allocations into system memory when a scene exceeds available VRAM.

Background caching in Cinema 4D

Calculate a scene snapshot in a separate cache worker. Monitor progress, pause supported jobs and replay completed frames while the editor remains available.

Calculation speed depends on the scene, GPU, grid resolution, stiffness and output geometry. Fast is available for eligible solid setups; mixed materials can require Classic. Extreme uses rigid pieces and does not couple with liquids. Extended RAM can reduce speed.

For Cinema 4D & Blender

Choose the integration for your 3D application. MPM Studio Solver brings its CUDA-accelerated material simulation engine to both Cinema 4D and Blender.

Cinema 4D

Work with scene geometry, the Particle Emitter, Fields and shaders. Reconstruct surfaces with the MPM Mesher, drive existing geometry with the MPM Deformer and cache the result for rendering.

Blender

Bring MPM material simulation into your Blender workflow through the dedicated integration. Use the GPU solver for liquid, granular and deformable-solid effects.

One simulation engine

The same Material Point Method powers both integrations. Choose your material model, set its physical properties and tune simulation detail for the shot.

System requirements & beta status

Hardware. Windows 64-bit, NVIDIA RTX 20–50 series, a recent CUDA 12.8-compatible driver, an AVX2-capable processor and at least 16 GB RAM (32 GB recommended). No CUDA Toolkit installation is needed. Online licence authorization is required.

Cinema 4D & Blender. Choose the package for your application. Check the current supported versions and integration-specific features on Gumroad before purchasing.

Beta features. Solids, fracture, Extreme and Extended RAM remain experimental. Test representative impacts and mixed-material contact at the intended resolution. In Cinema 4D, the Deformer preserves the original mesh topology; it does not generate fracture cuts.
